There are three main strands to The Ayurveda Academy Learning Journey, depending on what you want to do with your learning.
Looking after yourself, friends and family
Dip your toe in
You can dip your toe in with our Introduction to Ayurveda, a 3 month course covering the basics of Ayurveda.
Go further with Applying Ayurveda
For those have completed the Introduction to Ayurveda and want to learn further, you can sign up for our Applying Ayurveda Course (66 hours). This, together with Introduction to Ayurveda, gives you a solid basis in Ayurvedic understanding and application and a combined 99 hours of Ayurvedic learning. You can book onto this now here.
Becoming an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Advisor
You can use these two courses (Introduction to Ayurveda and Applying Ayurveda) as a basis and do our 25 hour Ayurveda Immersion course to qualify as an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Advisor qualification, as recognised by the Ayurvedic Professionals Association, the leading Ayurvedic association in the UK (category H). You can use this as a stand-alone qualification or use it alongside other therapies such as yoga, nutrition, massage therapy and naturopathy. For this you will need:
- 1 Level 3 qualification in any subject (e.g. A-Level or equivalent)
- Introduction to Ayurveda and Applying Ayurveda (99 hours)
- Ayurveda Immersion course (25 hours face to face)
Applying Ayurveda runs once a year from September/October and Ayurveda Immersion runs once a year in September/October. If you know you want to gain a professional qualification, sign up for our May Introduction to Ayurveda course at the latest, then you will be able to join the autumn Applying Ayurveda course and then the Ayurveda Immersion course the year after that.
