They may want to continue to dive into the wonders of Ayurveda for themselves, friends and family and also may wish to use the course as a starting point for gaining professional Ayurvedic qualifications (Ayurvedic Lifestyle Advisor or Yoga-Ayurveda Therapist). With a range of content (including webinars, PDFs, video, a community forum, health diary, quizzes and case studies) the course offers both theoretical and practical learning to bring the concept of the doshas (mind-body types) to life. All content is direct from the classical Ayurvedic texts combined with modern interpretation, supported by research.

Applying Ayurveda is for those students who have completed Introduction to Ayurveda. They may want to continue to dive into the wonders of Ayurveda for themselves, friends and family and also may wish to use the course as a starting point for gaining professional Ayurvedic qualifications (Ayurvedic Lifestyle Advisor or Yoga-Ayurveda Therapist).

Applying Ayurveda is a 6-month (66 hour) course. This, together with Introduction to Ayurveda, equates to 99 hours of Ayurvedic learning. The course is restricted to 23 participants, ensuring a close-knit community and fully interactive webinars.

With a range of content (including webinars, PDFs, video, a community forum, health diary, quizzes and case studies) the course offers both theoretical and practical learning to bring the concept of the doshas (mind-body types) to life. All content is direct from the classical Ayurvedic texts combined with modern interpretation, supported by research.

This Introduction to Ayurveda course will encourage you to:     

  • understand Ayurvedic anatomy: tissues, channels, sub-doshas, organs
  • discover your skin through the lens of Ayurveda
  • learn about the pathways of disease manifestation
  • understand and try out the concepts of ama pacana (digesting ama) and traditional Ayurvedic cleansing techniques
  • explore rejuvenation in theory and practice
  • create daily routines and interventions for skin and body care
  • gain a deeper understanding of Ayurvedic massage and how it can be used for you and your family
  • learn about marma points in the context of Ayurvedic massage
  • go deeper into principles and practicals of Ayurvedic cooking and learn how to construct a beautifully Ayurvedic dish and meal
  • widen and deepen knowledge of key herbs and spices in cooking
  • discover the healing herbs in your kitchen cupboard and practice using them in your life
  • learn about the key Ayurvedic medicinal herbs and formulations
  • use the Ayurvedic lens to look into and analyse local herbs near you
  • compare, contrast and find the overlap of Ayurveda and Yoga, how the two systems can work together and how you can use concepts and practices from both in the most fulfilling and helpful way
  • discover Ayurvedic concepts relating to the mind, uncovering a wealth of Ayurvedic knowlege on mental health, spiritual practices and meditation
  • understand our physical and mental health in the context of our emotional history and experiences
  • use core Ayurvedic concepts relating to best holistic health for women-, men- and children-specific health
